Dublin’s St Patrick’s Festival 2024 is bigger and better than ever! Events will take place across the capital, from March 15th to 18th 2024 to celebrate.
With family fun and community spirit at the heart of every St Patrick’s Festival, the family friendly Festival Quarter returns to the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks on March 16th and 17th with gates open from 11.30 daily. This magical place offers FREE family fun with a mini fun fair, music, dance, storytelling, food, drink and everything in between!
The main parade this year has the theme Spréach (Spark) representing the unique essence of Ireland and the Irish people. The parade celebrates the values of community, diversity, youth and sustainability and aims to wow spectators with a breathtaking showcase of talent from around Ireland and further afield. It winds through the city centre on Sunday March 17th from 12pm to 2pm.

The family friendly Festival Quarter is back for St Patrick’s Festival 2024! Enjoy a weekend of wonderful FREE family friendly events from theatre to live shows, workshops to circus performances to an Irish food and craft village.
Hosted in the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks on March 16th & 17th, Festival Quarter will be open from 11.30am daily with FREE family activities from 12pm to 5pm on Saturday 16th and from 12pm to 10.30pm on Sunday (adults only after 6pm). This year features a 3000 capacity covered main stage in addition to performance and relaxation spaces for all to enjoy.
You are invited to come along with friends and family and immerse yourself in the many activities taking place. You can also enjoy feasting on diverse cooking from some of Ireland’s best food trucks in the Irish Food & Craft Village while you listen to sweet sounds from the GOAL Global Stage.
Tumble Circus
Date: March 16th from 1.55pm to 2.30pm & 3.55pm to 4.40pm
Location: Halla Mór, Festival Quarter, Collins Barracks
Be prepared to be wowed by the hardcore acrobatics and mind bending jugglers of Tumble Circus in the Halla Mór at Festival Quarter. Free for all, we are sure that everyone in the family will enjoy this spectacular show.
Mark The Science Guy
Date: Saturday 16th March from 12.50pm to 1.35pm
Location: Halla Mór @ Festival Quarter, Collins Barracks
Expect whizzes, pops, booms and plenty of laughter when Mark the Science Guy hosts a fun-filled, energetic display of his favourite science experiments for the whole family to enjoy!
Francis Footwork 180º VR
Date: March 16th from 12pm to 12.45pm and 1.05pm to 1.50pm
Location: Festival Quarter
Cois Céim Dance Theatre presents Francis Footwork by David Bolger where you can see, touch, feel and dance in this 180º virtual reality presentation.
Suitable for all ages, this is a free show but space is limited and entry will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Céilí Mór le Dearbhla Lennon & Pipers Cross Céilí Band
Date: March 17th from 3pm to 5.15pm
Location: Halla Mór, The Festival Quarter, National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks
A St Patrick’s Day celebration would not be complete without a visit to the Céilí Mór! Join former Riverdance and champion Irish step-dancer Derbhla Lennon and the award winning Pipers Cross Céilí Band for a large-scale, bilingual, participative event to celebrate traditional Irish dance, language and music.
Learn the steps, enjoy the live music and soak up the atmosphere!
GOAL Global Stage

Visit the GOAL Global Stage to enjoy music, dance, theatre and more including these family, friendly performances:

City Fun Fair
Dates: March 16th & 17th from 11am to 9pm and March 18th from 11am to 8pm
Location: Custom House Quay, Dublin City Centre
The city funfair is back for 2024. Watch the city light up and enjoy everything from waltzers to bumper cars and fast moving rides to ones that lift you high above the Liffey!
The St Patrick’s Day Parade
Date: March 17th from 12pm
Location: The Parade begins on Parnell Square and ends near St Stephen’s Green
The St Patrick’s Day Parade will wind through the streets of Dublin, hundreds of participants will entertain the crowds with music, art, theatre, dance and much more.
The theme for St Patrick’s Festival 2024 is Spréach (Spark) celebrating community, diversity, youth and sustainability and these will be reflected by the spectacular line up. So pick your spot along the route and be prepared to be entertained.
